In the decade of the 30s the "Graduates' Association of Leonteio Lykeio" was founded in Athens, having as its purpose the intellectual development of its members, the tightening of the intellectual and moral bonds that bring them together, the solidarity in social life and the cultivation of the athletic ideal and team spirit among its members.
Many important members of the Graduates' Association have played and will continue to play a significant role in the political, social, artistic and business life, having acquired the necessary background in Leonteio Lykeio. Important personalities such as university professors, men of the arts, politicians, athletes and businessmen compose the long list of our members.
Every year the Graduates Association organises and sponsors activities such as the traditional New Year Pita. In 1999, during this event, we presented his eminence the Archbishop Christodoulos, graduate of the class of 1956, with an award. Our annual dance, the meeting at the bar-restaurant Caprice as well as the Professional Orientation of the students of Leonteio are some of the events we have arranged.
The briefing of the graduates intending to study in Universities abroad, the organisation of football (5x5) and basketball matches for the graduates are just some of the events we are preparing. The immediate plans of the "Graduates' Association" involve the professional solidarity among our members, a difficult, yet feasible, target.
