Candidates are tested not only on their knowledge of the use of French but also on their knowledge of French literature and civilisation. The test material and the marking scheme are determined by the Examinations Committee which is formed by the directors of French Studies of the Greek – French schools.

- The University of Sorbonne (PARIS IV) organises the Sorbonne 1 and Sorbonne 2 examinations and determines the test material as well as the marking scheme.

Students may obtain further information concerning their studies in France either through Leonteio Lykeio or the French Institute. Every year the French Institute awards two scholarships for studies in France to graduates from Greek – French schools.

The English Language

The English Language is taught at all grades of Leonteio Lykeio (N.S) primary and secondary school. It is compulsory in Primary and Junior high school whereas optional in Senior high school. All English teachers hold the appropriate qualifications, have a broad professional background as well as a wealth of experience and receive continuous training.
English classes are small and homogeneous as far as the students’ linguistic ability is concerned. The selection of the material and the teaching methodology is made after careful consideration of the syllabus provided by the Ministry of Education as well as of the students’ present and future needs.
